MARKETING OFFICER

JOB TITLE: SME LOAN OFFICER
Job summary
We are seeking for motivated and self-driven SME Loan officers to manage and grow our Small and Medium Enterprises(SME) Loan portfolio.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Identify, market, and onboard eligible SME clients for loan products.
2. Conduct and client visits and business appraisals.
3. Prepare and present loan proposals for approval in line with credit policy.
4. Monitor loan performance and follow up on repayments.
5. Manage delinquent accounts and support recovery efforts as per the credit policy.
6. Maintain accurate client records and credit documentations
7. Ensure client retention through excellent customer service and maintain a good relationship with existing SME customers.
8. Engage in proper Know Your Customer (KYC) Vetting of clients using supporting documents and SME appraisal tools.
9. Ensure periodic training is carried out at the branch to enhance awareness and cross selling.
10. Ensure meeting of monthly target set by the society management.
11. Compliance to audit standards and company policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
1) A minimum grade of C+ (plus) in KCSE.
2) An undergraduate Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business related courses from a recognized institution.
3) Knowledge in Sales and Marketing, credit risk management, credit lending will be an added advantage.
4) At least 3 years’ experience in SME lending or credit analysis.
5) Strong understanding of SME financials and credit risk assessment.
6) Proficiency in computers is mandatory.
7) Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements
8) Clear understanding of microfinance/banking industry is an added advantage.
9) Good interpersonal & communication skills with excellent customer service.
10) A team player with the drive to improve performance.
11) Persuasive with strong recognition skills, Self-driven and possess the ability to work with minimum supervision
12) Ability to work independently under minimum supervision.
13) Strong Christian values, commitment and passion for the transformation of the population.
14) Aged between 26 to 36 years.

ole: Overseeing membership growth, assets and liabilities growth and products uptake of the society 

Job Description

  1. a)   Establish and implement all marketing and business growth strategies.
  2. b)  Oversee current offerings and come up with initiatives for new products or services.
  3. c)  Research and analyze market trends, demographics, pricing schedules, competitor products, and other relevant information to form marketing strategies.
  4. d)  Sell and market all SACCO products and prospect for new business.
  5. e)  Prepare presentations for prospective customers when recruiting new members to the SACCO.
  6. f)   Coach, train and supervise the Sales Representative to ensure marketing targets are met.
  7. g)   Collection of competitor’s intelligence and reporting of the same to CEO.
  8. h)   Keep in safe custody all marketing materials i.e., Brochures, banners, tapes, etc.
  9. i)    Participate in trade fairs, marketing promotions, road shows and any other publicity campaign as may be assigned and providing reports on the same.
  10. j)   Liaison office in charge of ensuring that information is disseminated to members on time and accurately.
  11. k)  Carry out customer surveys and ensure customer service is up to standard.
  12. l)   Member education– pass SACCO information to the customers on any new policies that may implemented.
  13. m) Visit clients to get complaints/comments and handling complaints at the field level.
  14. n)  Track all marketing and sales data and create detailed written reports and verbal presentations to bring to the CEO and Board.
  15. o)  Organize CSR activities for the SACCO.
  16. p)  Any other duty as directed by the CEO.

 

Qualifications and requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business preferably in Marketing or a higher Diploma in Sales and Marketing.
  2. At least 1-2 years’ relevant work experience (experience in a Sacco/financial institution is an added advantage).
  3. strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  4. Good knowledge of digital marketing and social medial platforms.
  5. Self-driven, creative, and result- oriented.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  7. Valid certificate of good conduct.

JOB TITLE: RECOVERY OFFICER

We are seeking to recruit a  Loans Recovery Officer to enhance our credit management and loan recovery function.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Follow up on overdue loans and ensure timely recovery in line with SACCO policies.
  1. Engage members through calls, visits, and written notices to recover outstanding amounts.
  2. Prepare and maintain accurate recovery records and reports.
  3. Liaise with guarantors, employers, and legal entities where necessary.
  4. Recommend appropriate recovery actions, including restructures or legal processes.
  5. Ensure compliance with SACCO policies, regulations, and ethical standards.
  6. Conduct field visits and participate in debt collection exercises.

Qualifications & Requirements

  1. Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  1. At least [1–3] years’ experience in credit or loan recovery, preferably in a SACCO or financial institution.
  2. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  3. High level of integrity and professionalism.
  4. Ability to work independently and meet recovery targets.
  5. Computer literacy and report-writing skills.
  6. Knowledge of cooperative laws and credit management will be an added advantage.
